Deaf children rarely go to school but they have potentials. So that, in 2005, they founded Bread of Life restaurant to help Deaf.

In developing countries, people with disabilities are typically among the poorest of the poor with limited opportunity to fully participate in society. Donkey Bakery is cooperating with other non-profit organizations to encourage other businesses to provide employment to people with disabilities thereby facilitating their integration into society and improving their life in general.

Chula is also a social company and works with many small local communities in the north of Vietnam. At the moment, it is made up of a skilled community of 60 people, 75% have a physical disability.

With this, we hope that Deaf can “tell” their stories by the cinema language. And through cinema, somehow, the unique of Deaf Culture and the beaty of Sign Language will touch our hearts.

Thuan An Disabilities Education Center is a boarding school for deaf children, having over 300 – 5 to 20 years old – students.

Lam Dong Hearing Impaired School is a place for physical education and nurturing, listening and speaking are rehabilitated, helping to consolidate literacy and numeracy for children to communicate and integrate into the community. Currently, the school has 13 classes with more than 90 deaf students are led by 34 dedicated teachers and teachers.

Sign Language Dictionary

The training program for deaf youths for Hoa Sua School has been implemented since 1997. It has trained textile, embroidery for about 600 young people with hearing impairment and disability. This is a hard vocational program because most children in local areas do not have enough education. Go to Hoa Sua, the children have to learned sign language at the same time as major. At the end of the training period, 100% of the children were introduced to textile enterprises or embroidery stores across the country. Hanoi Sign Language Education Center have deaf teachers teaching sign language for both deaf & hearing students with support from hearing volunteer interpreters.

Hands for Vietnam is a non-profit organization that exists to provide sign language training and resources for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people in Central Vietnam, as well as to the communities that support them. Jeff Haney serves as the Executive Director of Hands for Vietnam. His interest in sign language began in high school, and he went on to complete both his Bachelor and Master degrees in Deaf Education at the University of Tennessee. Jeff has worked as a deaf educator in a public high school, a free-lance sign language interpreter, an insurance agent, and Manager of Bread of Life, a restaurant employing deaf people in Da Nang, Vietnam. Since moving to Vietnam, he has become an avid mountain biker who likes to say he has “biked places no foreigner has ever seen.” Jeff’s love for God, his family, and the deaf people of Vietnam motivate his work daily.

CED is committed to helping the Hearing Impaired to join society, building a positive image of the Hearing Impaired community as a bridge to join together people with and without hearing loss people.

Mainstreaming sign language to create opportunities for the deaf to study, work and integrate with their families and the society.

Coordinate and promote government policies, programs and resources for people with disabilities. The NCCD includes 22 members representing key government ministries as well as members from the community of people with disabilities.

Promote a barrier-free society for people with disabilities

ACDC (Action to the Community Development Center) is a local NGO with a legal status working to empower communities of people with disabilities and other mariganized groups (poor farmers, ethnic minority and women). It was formed by a group of experienced activists who have intensive experience in working in this area and share the same idea to establish a non-governmental organization to empower people with disabilities and other mariganized groups in Vietnam. The “Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD)” is a regional center on disability and development.

The Will to Live Center, a Social Enterprise, operates in the field of supporting and assisting the handicapped’s integration completely through training, orienting and consulting in order to help disabled people find suitable jobs and sources to consume their products. By doing this, the handicapped will buid up their confidence, find it easy to integrate into community and lessen social and familial burdens.

Handicap International is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our actions and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights.

Independent living center (ILC) is not accommodation. It is a community-based non-profit organization where disabled persons raise awareness and give consultation to disabled person on IL, encourage their peers to work and integrate, and provide intensive assistance to people of different disabilities
